Presentation description
Tool-wear is a serious problem in manufacturing industries causing negative effects such as decreased accuracy of products, decreased tool life, and increased production cost. However, current tool-wear monitoring methods require expensive and complex instruments. This research focuses on creating a relationship between tool wear and monitoring vibration signals using a vibration sensor based on piezoelectric nanofibers and developing a simpler and cheaper tool-wear monitoring method.
