Are you a University of Utah faculty member who is interested in collaborative research with undergraduate students? Whether you have a specific project in mind or not, let us know, and we will help you spread the word. We will use information you provide to advise students about undergraduate research opportunities, and will encourage interested students to contact you directly. We will also post this information in our online research opportunity database. Please be as specific and thorough as you can, given the project you envision, as this is how students will identify their interest in your project. These posts now also appear on our front page announcements, so please make your title as descriptive as possible.
Opportunities may be volunteer, for a senior/honors thesis, or for independent study credit offered by your department. Once a faculty member and a student begin working together, eligible students may apply to the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) for funding.
The Research Opportunity Database may also be used to advertise paid or work-study research positions on campus.
