Presentation description

Despite emerging therapies, melanoma progression and metastasis is the leading cause of death for skin cancer patients. BRAF-mutant melanoma is found in 50% of melanoma cases and is a therapeutically challenging malignancy due to the resistance patients experience to target therapies. My research explores PI3K-AKT-mTOR treatments to find pharmacological inhibitors that are safe and effective at combating BRAF-mutant melanoma.
