Presentation description

Hagwons play an integral role within the South Korean Education System that leaves lasting impacts on South Korean students during childhood and adolescence. However, little research examines how the normative attendance of hagwons coupled with the competitive nature of the South Korean Education System has impacted the identity development of young adults who have now graduated from the system. This research aims to examine this connection further through the analysis of in-depth interviews.
